From Online Terrorist Content Exposure to Real-World Mobilisation: Understanding Susceptibility, Assessing Risk, and Informing Interventions.
Students of the master Forensic and Legal Psychology at Erasmus University Rotterdam conducted a literature review on possible interventions, mobilization risk and susceptibility to online terrorist content, commissioned by the Authority for the prevention of online Terrorist Content and Child Sexual Abuse Material (ATKM).
In a special webinar on Tuesday 3 November they will offer a well-rounded overview on how exposure to online violent and extremist content may influence susceptibility and, in some cases, contribute to pathways towards real-world mobilisation. It brings together evidence on psychological and behavioural effects, risk and protective factors, and observable indicators of mobilisation, and translates these findings into practical recommendations for proportionate prevention and intervention.

Van blootstelling aan online terroristische inhoud tot mobilisatie in de echte wereld: inzicht in kwetsbaarheid, risicobeoordeling en onderbouwing van interventies.
Studenten van de masteropleiding Forensic and Legal Psychology aan de Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam hebben in opdracht van de Autoriteit online Terroristisch en Kinderpornografisch Materiaal (ATKM) een literatuuronderzoek uitgevoerd naar mogelijke interventies, mobilisatierisico’s en kwetsbaarheid voor online terroristisch materiaal.
Tijdens een speciaal webinar op dinsdag 3 november geven zij een uitgebreid overzicht van hoe blootstelling aan online gewelddadige en extremistische inhoud de vatbaarheid kan beïnvloeden en, in sommige gevallen, kan bijdragen aan trajecten die leiden tot mobilisatie in de echte wereld.
Het webinar brengt bewijs samen over psychologische en gedragseffecten, risico- en beschermende factoren en waarneembare indicatoren van mobilisatie, en vertaalt deze bevindingen naar praktische aanbevelingen voor proportionele preventie en interventie.
